An Update

The past few weeks we have been as busy as ever getting things done and staying on schedule.  Both of our boys are pretty happy with their lives and that is something I like seeing as a parent.  Here are a few things we have done lately: David's SPRING BAND CONCERT David is sitting on the far left in a red vest.  I am beyond proud of my young man who is not only smart and talented but sensitive and sweet. CLICK HERE for video  Pi FUN RUN with Evan Our AWESOME race shirts  Evan and I participated in a 5k in celebration of Pi day!  I assumed that Evan, being a math geek, would love to join me.  Turns out the only thing that hooked him was the promise of food at the end of the race.  But hey, whatever works! Evan only came for the pizza. We love running! More DRIVING with Dave Just a little scared Evan?  David has been doing well learning how to drive around town but Sunday morning it was raining and I have to admit I was a bit nervous about his skills.

Dusty Lake Adventure

David is our main driver now. Years ago I decided to become healthier for one reason only, to keep up with my boys.  I knew that one day they would get taller and stronger than me and I was not going to be left in the dust when they decided to go out and do something fun with their Dad. We are serious about bikes! Our latest adventure was challenging for me because I do not ride my bike that often let alone ride it on sand and over rocks.  My sit bones are hurting a bit now and I may need new pedals.   I think I left a few scratches on some rocks.   There was only one moment that I thought I might lose it but I was completely caught off guard by the decline.  It is not illustrated in any of these pictures but imagine large rocks, flying dust, sage brush in the way, and me not knowing what I am doing. Looks smooth but it was deceiving... I asked to be last so that I am not criticized. Had to stop to get the bike computer working.  Gotta track the mileage.  Our fi

Getting ready to leave work...this is really happening.  For many years I have driven my own children home from school after work but that has all changed.  My boy turned fifteen in February and got his drivers permit the next day!  He is now driving me around. It is so strange I can't even tell ya! Can you tell I am taking my time? Evan trying to steal some thunder. Close the door Dave! David does a great job.  Me not so much!  I am especially bad in the back seat.  I have got to remember to buy some duct tape for my mouth. Pulling away from the school. So, I was a little distracted and didn't take too many pics as we drove through town for a soda and then up the hill to home.  David did a great job watching for pedestrians and parking at Circle K.  I keep thinking if he does have an accident maybe I can get the same car in a different color. Dave has mastered parking in the garage. I got out just to make sure he didn't hit Dad's bikes.
