Running

It is true that I spend a lot of time running.  I could never express in words why I love it so much and I always felt that if I tried people would think that I was crazy!  Recently, I found a book called "Run like a Mother" that expresses everything I feel about running and more.  I highly recommend this book to all runners and Mothers. Now that I have some inspiration I think I can write down what I feel about running and why it is so important to me. 1.  I can eat a lot after a long run and not worry.  This is important because my job is stressful and stuffing my face makes me feel better!! 2.  When I run I have personal conversations with God.  I honestly think of him as my running partner and I talk to him like an old friend who understands me.  He listens really well and even though it is hard to cry and run at the same time (this only happens occasionally by the way) I feel much better being able to tell him in my own words my deepest thoughts.  In real life I am

What a time we have had so far this summer!  Our most recent trip was to Lopez Island - one of the most peaceful places in the world.  The boys did a lot of things and had an amazing time doing what boys do best - get dirty! My good friend Pat invited us to her cabin and treated us like family.  What an amazing time we had with her and her grandchildren.  Wonderful kids- as we drove home Evan kept saying how nice they all were and I am sure their parents would be proud to know how they made my sons feel as guests. The pictures I took can describe our trip best. I cannot wait to go back!!

Where did the time go?
